Raziya Nurkenova: "I want to thank all the fans for their support"

The head coach of the Kazakhstan women's national team Raziya Nurkenova answered questions from journalists after the match with England.

- Everything was great, starting with board and lodging. I want to thank all the fans who supported us today at the stadium. We were very pleased that so many people came - the girls were inspired by such attention. Thanks a lot to the organizers for a warm welcome!

Of course, the level of the teams is different. England is a strong rival, and we are taking the first steps to build a new team.

- What could you tell about the squad of your team today?

- Unfortunately, one of our players was injured. The England team is a very high-level team. You could see set play, how fast and technical they are. We were preparing for the match, we watched their game with Wales, but there were surprises. First there was the information that the rivals would have new players, but you could see that the youngest player in England - born in 1995. The experienced football players, who protect the colors of strong clubs played today. And we have the youngest player of 2002 y.b., and today she played two halves. We have players younger than the England team.

On the other hand, it's good that we got a good game practice with such strong rivals. I think twe need to play with strong teams.

- Today you spent your second match as head coach. Please share your impressions.

- I was worried that we did nit have enough time to prepare for the last two matches. I became friends with my players and we worked really hard. I think we are moving in the right direction. I am happy to continue to work and to help develop women's football in our country.

- Will you insist that the women's team play in Pavlodar more often?

- It will be seen further. Everything was at good level. I even say that because of such increased attention from the fans, we were worried a bit. I think that today our team gave a small impetus to the development of women's football in Pavlodar. There is a team here, I hope that they will pay attention to it, and the girls will grow.
