UEFA Playmakers Seminar Held in Almaty
Almaty hosted a two-day UEFA Playmakers seminar as part of the international programme supporting grassroots girls' football. The programme, delivered by UEFA in partnership with Disney, brought together coaches and grassroots football specialists from across the region.

As part of the seminar, coaches from the Kairat Football Academy, club players and physical education teachers from schools across Almaty took part in specialist training and were introduced to the UEFA Playmakers methodology. Alongside classroom sessions, participants also experienced the programme first-hand through practical activities, learning how football-based games can be used to engage young girls in sport.

A key feature of UEFA Playmakers is its unique learning approach, which combines football with imagination, storytelling and Disney characters. Through this fun and engaging format, girls develop fundamental football skills while improving their movement and physical literacy in an enjoyable environment.

UEFA Playmakers is a global programme designed for girls aged 5 to 10 who have little or no previous experience of football. Its mission is to provide a safe, inclusive and enjoyable introduction to the game, inspiring girls to become physically active and helping them develop a lifelong love of sport.
