KFF General Secretary Scott Munn visited the site to review progress on the new academy being built with the support of Almaty International Airport.

According to the latest progress report covering the period from 13 to 20 July 2026, overall construction has reached 40% completion.

Construction is progressing steadily across all key sections of the complex:

Block 1 (Sports Building): Roof slab reinforcement is underway.

Block 2 (Administration Building): Formwork installation for the roof slab and masonry work on the exterior walls is in progress.

Block 3 (Dormitory): Concrete works on the third-floor walls and columns are underway.

The project includes an indoor football hall, a sports complex, medical and rehabilitation facilities, as well as a four-storey dormitory with accommodation for up to 150 players and staff.

The academy will train footballers aged 14 to 16, helping develop the next generation of players for Kazakhstan's youth and senior national teams. The construction of the KFF Academy will mark an important milestone in the development of youth football in the country.
