UEFA B-GK course: First module underway in Astana
The course is aimed at enhancing the qualifications of goalkeeping coaches and combines theoretical and practical sessions.
The first module focuses on the philosophy and methodology of goalkeeper training, the organisation of training sessions, saving shots from different distances, one-on-one situations, dealing with crosses and cut-backs, as well as defending space behind the defensive line.
Dedicated sessions also cover the planning and periodisation of goalkeeper training, communication between the goalkeeping coach and the coaching staff, and the integration of goalkeeping work into the team’s overall training process.
Course participants also conduct their own practical sessions, analyse the training process and receive feedback on their work.
The UEFA B-GK course forms part of the Kazakhstan Football Federation’s ongoing efforts to develop coach education and further enhance the qualifications of specialists working with goalkeepers.
