The first cycle of VAR certification has ended in Talgar at the KFF training center
With a full set of VAR technology (eight cameras and a VOR, and a RRA), they have practiced communication, procedures and incidents analyses, obtaining the necessary minimum practice to gain certification.
After the completion of this process, the referee’s names will be sent to FIFA platform as its mandatory for their proper registration.
As per FIFA regulations, only certified referees can officiate matches where VAR technology is used.
To prepare for the next future, the referee department has started to certify all first league referees in order for them to be able to participate in Top League matches in case of promotion.
This process which involves a big number of participants, from instructors, referees, VARs, AVARs, replay operators, broadcaster and also a big number of teams, is part of the Refereeing Developing Project for the next three years and a big investment from KFF.
This VAR Certification process will continue, until all first league referees will be certified.
