Adilbek Jaxybekov: ‘Kazakhstan Cup is an excellent tournament’

- The matches of the Kazakhstan Cup round of 16 took place in 8 cities of the country. Many of them turned out to be uncompromising and once again proved the tournament status. There were extra periods and until the last second, thousands of football fans were being ‘kept in suspense’.

The capital ‘Astana’, which arrived in Ust-Kamenogorsk with strong squad, left the tournament. Despite the difference in game level and thanks to local fans, the football club from East Kazakhstan managed to win, making a gift to their region.

It is gratifying that for first time, the football club ‘Aksu’ from Pavlodar region played at such a high level. For the Second League club, representing a small town, a duel against a participant of the Europa League qualification is a great event and a good chance for youth.

The Academy Ontustik from Shymkent played a good game against ‘Kaisar’ from the Premier League. Despite the previous match and the defeat in extra time, the young players definitely need this experience. Such matches are always a chance to test your skills.

The match between ‘Aktobe’ and ‘Irtysh’ was also brilliant. The Aktobe football club showed a good game and lost to Pavlodar only in a penalty shootout. Generally, fans saw six goals scored.

The fans were also excited by the games, which took place in Taraz, Aktau and Nur-Sultan. After a while, big football returned to the center of Akmola region – the city of Kokshetau.

Summing up, I would like to note that the Kazakhstan Cup is an excellent tournament that allows representatives of various regions to compete for the trophy of honor. Each ambitious team has equal chances to reach success. Only in such uncompromising matches, players can improve and develop their skills!
