Olympic champion donates valuable exhibits to Football Museum

USSR national team T-shirt 1988, a medal for participating in the Olympic Games and memorable photographs from the games in South Korea have been donated to the museum collection.

“This T-shirt is 37 years old. I believe it should decorate the museum so that our younger generation knows history. There are also photographs from the final in Seoul on October 1, 1988 against Brazil.

This is the history of football. I think many great stars of that generation, FC “Kairat” and the national team, have something to convey to the museum,” - Evgeniy Yarovenko.

The Museum of Kazakhstan Football was opened in 2023 as part of the celebration of the 110th anniversary of Kazakhstan football, as well as in order to preserve the rich history and popularize domestic football.
