Coca-Cola Bulgary Dop Tournament Among Girls

The Republican Football Championship “Coca-Cola Bulgary Dop was held in Shymkent.

The Republican Youth Football Championship “Coca-Cola Bulgary Dop” for 10 years have attracted Kazakhstani football stars. In different years, Bauyrzhan Islamkhan, Rauan Sariev, Sergey Khizhnichenko and other athletes participated in the tournament. Every year more than 400 thousand young Kazakhstanis participate in the championship. Since 2006, 6,200 schools have participated in the project, more than 1.2 million schoolchildren from all over Kazakhstan. The main goal of the project is the development of football among schoolchildren and, as a result, strengthening the health of the younger generation.

For the first time in 10 years, girls competed in the championship. The “Coca-Cola Bulgary Dop” finals was held on September 30 in Shymkent, on the basis of the sports complex “BIIK”. Six strongest football teams took part in the final. Among the participants: two teams from Shymkent, as well as football players from Almaty, Kokshetau, Uralsk and Taraz.

The Youth Sports School №5 from Taraz took the third place. The Kokshetau team “Okzhetpes” and the Sports School №7 from Shymkent played in the final. The Sports School №7 won the tournament 8:0.

“These competitions provide an opportunity for young footballers to strengthen the sporting spirit. Children are getting more sociable, friendlier, more self-confident. From year to year we are trying to create for the children the atmosphere of a holiday, a football festival.  Today's success of this social initiative is a huge work of a large team of partners in the person of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Football Federation, the Coca-Cola Company and the National Scientific and Practical Center for Physical Culture State Enterprise,”  Alima Isembayeva, director of corporate and regulatory relationships of Coca-Cola Almaty Bottlers said.

At the championship, 13-year-old Assel Zhumagali from Shymkent was called the ''Kazakh Ronaldo''. The girl easily leads the rivals, moves fast and scores a lot.

“I was involved in various sports, but I liked football most of all. My dream is to participate in international competitions. I am very grateful to Coca-Cola for this opportunity,” said the girl.

The tournament was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Football Federation, the Coca-Cola Company, the State Enterprise "The National Scientific and Practical Center for Physical Culture.
