Central Asian leaders discuss development of football

A working meeting of the leaders of football associations of the Central Asia was held in the Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The meeting, aimed at strengthening cooperation between associations and discussing key issues on the implementation of joint projects, was held with the participation of the President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation Adlet Barmenkulov, the President of the Kyrgyz Football Union Mederbek Sydykov, the President of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan Arslan Ainazarov and the First Vice President of the Uzbekistan Football Association Ravshan Irmatov.

During this meeting, the parties noted that the key factors for the successful development of each of the football associations are improving infrastructure, increasing human resources and ensuring sufficient funding, and added that the success of each of the associations is the key to fruitful mutual cooperation.

In addition, the parties exchanged their views on the implementation of mutually beneficial projects for the construction of the infrastructure necessary for holding training camps for football players and referees. The meeting participants also discussed compliance with the conditions and regulations for the joint organization of various international tournaments, including world championships among teams of different age categories, as well as the World Football Cup.

The parties will continue to provide their possible support to each other, which includes a constant exchange of information and experience. During the meeting, all the leaders of the associations expressed their desire and readiness to take cooperation to a new level.
