Kazakhstan Women's Football League Officially Launched

As a part of the Football Development Strategy for the next four years, the opening of the Association of Women's Football League of Kazakhstan was held in Astana. Berik Dyuzelbayev has been elected president of the association.

The opening of the professional league provides increasing in the number of women's teams participating in the championship. At the moment five teams take part in it. In the future, it is planned the cover the teams from all regions of the country, which will help develop football among women in general.

Now in several regional centers there are sports schools with women's football departments. The girls from 12 to 18 years are engaged in football. After increasing the number of professional teams, the graduates will soon be able to perform at the next level. As for the youth championships, the Kazakhstan Football Federation holds competitions for girls up to 15, 17 and 19 years old. This gives good competitive practice for the younger generation and creates a good base for future performances at a professional level.
