The workshop was held by FIFA Refereeing committee and Kazakhstan Football Federation Department of refereeing and inspection in an online-conference format and lasted for two weeks.

FIFA was represented by FIFA instructor Farkhad Abdullayev.

The workshop covered issues of unified interpretation of game episodes and trends in the assessment of refereeing in the context of recent changes in the game rules. The event was held using video material about refereeing at the 2018 World Cup and number of other major tournaments in recent years.

“Presentations made by FIFA Refereeing Committee included various match situations. The training took place in groups, which allowed us to build the most productive process of perception. Every controversial moment was examined carefully. The workshop program allowed us to improve our referees’ level of training, which is of supreme importance due to the resumption of Kazakhstan championship” - said Sergey Kenetayev, Head of KFF refereeing and inspection department.
