11 March 2025, 01:32
Today the Kazakhstan national futsal team arrived in Armenia.

After a long flight (Astana - Moscow - Yerevan), head coach Paulo Ricardo Kakà has already held the first training session in the Armenian capital to stretch before the upcoming game. The official pre-match training is scheduled for tomorrow.

Kazakhstan and Armenia have played only twice in Euro qualification, and both times the match ended in a draw. The first time was back in 2004 - 2:2, and the second time was last December in Almaty at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace - 4:4.

In order to advance directly to the final stage of the 2026 Euro, which will be held in Latvia and Lithuania, Kazakhstan needs three points against Armenia. The runner-up in the group will play in the knockout rounds, which will be held in September 2025.

The Armenia-Kazakhstan match will kick off on 12 March at 20:00 Astana time. The game will be held at the Academy Technical Centre of the Football Federation of Armenia. The Qazsport TV channel will broadcast of the match.

Maximilian Alkofer has been appointed as the chief referee, Sven Schreiber (both from Germany) will be the second referee. The third referee will be Peter Budak from Slovakia.

Currently, Kazakhstan is ranked 3rd in the UEFA Futsal ranking. Armenia is ranked17th.
