Ali Aliyev: “Today the fans saw an uncompromising, bright, lively game”

Kazakhstani head coach Ali Aliyev commented on the result of the 2026 World Cup qualifying match against North Macedonia (0:1).

''I would like to thank all the fans who supported us. My gratitude to the guys who went out on the field and prepared for the match. They tried to do their best on the field today. We promised that we would fight for the country, for the flag. I think that today the fans saw an uncompromising, bright, lively game that took place in all areas of the field.

Luck was not on our side. Dastan was a little unlucky, and Maxim was also unlucky. But overall we had our chances today and I think that the fans in the stadium and in front of the TV screens were happy,'' - said Ali Aliyev.
