KFF LEADERSHIP ATTEND THE UEFA MEETING IN MOSCOW
On the eve of the start of the FIFA Congress, Moscow hosted a meeting of the UEFA countries. Kazakhstan was represented by the KFF President Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and General Secretary Azamat Aitkhozhin.
The US, Canada and Mexico officially submitted a joint bid for the 2026 World Cup, also Morocco unveiled its bid during the meeting. Voting takes place at the FIFA Congress on Wednesday, June the 13 in Moscow.
There, the president of the Kazakhstan Football Federation Adilbek Dzhaksybekov met with the president of the European Union of Football Associations Aleksander Ceferin. During the meeting Mr. Ceferin got acquainted with the further plan of Kazakhstan football development, according to its program for the next four years.
At the end of the meeting, a friendly tournament was held between representatives of various confederations. Adilbek Dzhaksybekov, the president of the KFF, played for the UEFA national team. It should be noted that representatives of only 15 countries played for the European Union from 55 members of football associations. The tournament was held in a friendly atmosphere and pleased with the many goals scored.
The 2018 World Cup opening ceremony will take place at the Luzhniki Stadium (Moscow) on June 14.
