KFF WINS UEFA BEST PARTICIPTION INITIATIVE AWARD
The project ''Football Festival among Children of Orphanages”, which was held by the KFF Grassroots Department in 2023, officially won “Best participation initiative” award for the 2023/2024 season.
The KFF General Secretary Andrey Dudin took part in the award ceremony.
The project “Football Festival among Children of Orphanages” held by KFF took place over several months in 2023, and represented a unique opportunity for children from orphanages in Kazakhstan to develop teamwork skills, strengthen physical and psychological health, and create a favorable social environment.
The festival took place in cities of Kostanay, Pavlodar, Taraz, Almaty, Petropavlovsk, Shymkent, Kyzylorda, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Karaganda and Burabay.
Candidates for the UEFA Grassroots Awards are nominated by Europe's national football associations, and award winners are selected by UEFA's Development and Technical Assistance Committee based on recommendations made by a grassroots panel of the organisation.
The UEFA Grassroots Awards have been recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements in football since 2010.
The awards shine a spotlight on European individuals, clubs, national associations and initiatives that help grow the game for all and make vital contributions to their communities.
The UEFA Technical Director Frank Ludolf congratulated the KFF on winning the nomination.
The following nominations were presented at the UEFA Grassroots Awards for the 2023/24 season:

Best Professional Club:
1. FC DAK-1904 (Slovakia)

Best Participation Initiative:
1. “Football festival among children from orphanages” (Kazakhstan)
2. “Mobile soccer training for girls” (Germany)
3. “My first goal” (Czech Republic)
Best Social Initiative:
1. Calcio+15-WU15 (Italy)
2. Football at school (Armenia)
3. Training and employment program (Northern Ireland)
Best Disability Initiative:
1. Disability support package for clubs (England)
2. Development of arms and legs (Belgium)
3. Futbol Plus (Poland)
