KFF will renovate 9 football fields this year
The program, supported by UEFA, was launched in the summer of 2023 and designed for three years. The main goal is to improve the quality of the sports infrastructure and develop grassroots football in the country.
The main task of the program is not just to open new football fields, but to ensure their safety. Therefore, all facilities meet FIFA and UEFA standards. Moreover, to create comfortable conditions, special turf is imported from Italy. There are plenty of requirements, starting from the process of preparing the base, where it is necessary to constantly monitor the quality and cleanliness of materials, to the moment of laying the artificial turf. Strict regulations are provided even for the filler that is laid on the artificial turf.
The ALAÑ project team identified a serious problem when visiting sports facilities in the regions. The surface of the fields turned out to be very hard, similar to asphalt concrete. This directly affects not only the game moments, but also the health of young players.
Thus last year under the project “ALAÑ” were repaired stadiums in Almaty, Shymkent, Aktobe and Zhetysu region. By the end of the year 8 new fields will be renovated in Aksu, Saran, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Ayagoz, Balkhash, Atbasar, Zhezkazgan and Qyzylorda. In this case, the renewed football fields are transferred to regional authorities on a gratuitous basis.
Renovation of the fields will give to develop football among youth and allow football clubs to play matches on certified fields. As before, the renovation process will be transparent, and football festivals will be held in the regions to celebrate the opening of the fields.
