Kazakhstan's first-ever Games of Peace tournament among refugees took place in Almaty

The Kazakhstan Football Federation continues to actively implement sustainable development initiatives, support social projects and develop inclusive football. The Games of Peace tournament was held for the first time in Almaty and became an important step towards integration, mutual understanding and support for refugees through football.

The competition took place at the Kairat FC Academy (named after S. Kvochkin) with the support of UEFA and in partnership with the UN Refugee Agency.

The tournament was inspired by the prestigious UEFA Unity Euro Cup, which annually unites people from different countries, breaks down cultural barriers and emphasises the power of football as a universal language.

The Games of Peace are more than just a sport. It is a symbol of friendship, solidarity and hope. The tournament has become a platform for communication, support and new opportunities, uniting players and spectators around the values of respect and understanding.

Six teams took part in the competition, demonstrating a high level of preparation, desire to win and sporting spirit. According to the results of the matches, the prize-winning places were distributed as follows:

1st place - Alpha

2nd place - Real Almaty

3rd place - Milan

Individual awards were also given to the best players of the tournament:

Best goalkeeper - Armin Talebi

Best defender - Orfan Astafa

Best striker - Gulmukhammad Frotan

Best scorer - Shamil Saitov 

Best player  - Nuriyar Farukh

Kazakhstan Football Federation expresses its gratitude to all participants, partners and guests of the tournament for their support and contribution to the development of inclusive sport in the country.
