“Before the penalty, it was an even game. We stuck to the plan, stayed compact and well organised. We controlled the spaces and were disciplined out of possession.
The penalty changed the game — after that, we lost a bit of structure and confidence, and the opponents took advantage.
Overall, it wasn’t about the plan, but about not maintaining our concentration and quality for the full 90 minutes,” said Bauyrzhan Sagyndyk.
