Farewell to the legend

The farewell took place at the Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Kazakhstani football veterans Kuralbek Ordabayev, Pavel Novikov, Mikhail Gurman, as well as the President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation Adlet Barmenkulov, Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the MKS RK Yerbol Myrzabosynov and Deputy Akim of the city of Almaty Arman Kyrykbaev and hundreds of people came to see off the legend of Kazakhstani football.

“Today we say goodbye to the legend and symbol of our football, Seilda Ikramovich, who devoted his whole life to the number one sport. Seilda Ikramovich was the greatest example for the younger generation, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of domestic football. His memory will forever remain in our hearts. We express our deepest condolences to all the relatives and friends of Seilda Ikramovich,” said Adlet Barmenkulov.

One of the greatest players in the history of Kazakhstani football, President of the Union of Football Veterans of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Advisor to the President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation Seilda Baishakov has passed away at the age of 72.
