Kazakhstan fails directly qualify for Euro 2024
In the first half of the match, Slovenia was awarded a penalty late in the first half after a Video Assistant Referee review when Yan Vorogovskiy fouled Petar Stojanovic in the box. Benjamin Šeško comfortably converted the spot-kick.
Kazakhstan made the perfect start to the second half as Ramazan Orazov scored his first international goal in the 48th minute.
Benjamin Verbic scored a late winner in the 86th minute.
Thus, Slovenia secured qualification for the Euro 2024 finals in Germany, but Kazakhstan will have to earn its place through March’s playoffs. In the semi-finals, Kazakhstan national team will play away against the Greek national team. In case of victory, the Kazakhstan team will meet with the winner of the Georgia vs Luxembourg match.
