The Director of the KFF Refereeing Department, Nuno Alexandre Parreira de Castro has published explanations regarding individual match incidents from the 22nd round of the Premier League.

Zhenis vs Astana

Min 77 – Inside the home team penalty area, the ball is crossed to the left side. Close to the goal line, while both players challenge for the ball, home defender 87 tries to play the ball, but raises his leg too high and finally he kicks the opponent's leg. The referee was close and with a good view and correctly awarded an obvious penalty.

Correct no intervention from VAR after having checked the incident.

Correct final decision from referee to award the penalty kick.

Tobyl vs Turan

Min 90+2 – Inside the away team penalty area, attacker 38 and defender 5 challenge for the ball. As the attacker was managing to reach first for the ball, the defender stretched the left arm and illegally put it in front of the attacker to slow him down and when the attacker was already in front the defender also used his right arm to hold him in the neck/body, which with the speed and movement was enough to make him fall. The referee was just behind players and immediately correctly awarded a penalty kick.

Correct no intervention from VAR after having checked the incident.

Correct final decision from referee to award the penalty kick.

Aktobe vs Zhetysu

Min 16 – Challenging for the ball, away 77 clearly pushes his opponent 88 on the back. It had some intensity and made 88 to fall down and even roll on himself. When he was having this movement caused by the push, he hit by accident, not deliberately, with his foot on the opponent's chest.

Correct no intervention from VAR after having checked the incident.

Correct final decision from referee not to have disciplinary measures.

Ulytau vs Ordabasy

Min 90+2 – Inside penalty area, several players challenge for the ball. Defender 3 jumps with his left arm raised and he plays the ball with the arm. The arm is not close to the body, above the shoulder and it's not in normal position. Clear penalty kick. As it was a fast movement the referee missed the incident.

Correct intervention from VAR after having checked the incident, advising the referee for an on field review.

Correct final decision from referee to change initial decision and award a penalty kick.
