The Director of the KFF Refereeing Department, Nuno Alexandre Parreira de Castro has published explanations regarding individual match incidents from the 21st round of the Premier League.

Zhetisu vs. Atyrau

Min 90+3 – Close to the center circle, away player 10 makes a sliding tackle against his opponent, with some speed and intensity using his studs in the front and with the feet high, hitting his opponent close to the knee.

The referee was close, but misjudged the incident.
Referees have received clear instructions in all seminars regarding challenges with straight leg and use of studs clearly endangering the safety of their opponents, which must be punished with a red card for serious foul play.

Very good intervention from VAR after having checked the incident, advising the referee to an OFR.
Incorrect final decision from referee, maintaining his initial decision.

Ordabasy vs. Tobyl

Min 78 – The ball is crossed to the away team penalty area where home 25 heads the ball forward which goes and hits the defender 4 arm. The arm was in a normal position close to the body. The referee correctly allows play to continue. After some time the ball is crossed again to the penalty area, where two attackers jump for the ball but do not touch. Just behind and already inside the penalty area, defender 15 played the ball with the arm. The arm was up, not in normal position and making the body bigger. Although the referee was in the expected position it was very difficult to see, as the contact was behind the two attackers.

Very good intervention from VAR after having checked the incident, advising the referee to an OFR.

Correct final decision from referee awarding a penalty kick.
