While the Premier League features experienced teams, the Second Division brings together enthusiastic amateurs taking their first steps in football.

According to the local football federation, 28 teams initially expressed their desire to participate. However, due to unfavorable weather conditions in October and November, the tournament is being held with 20 teams.

As a result, it was decided to divide the participants into two separate leagues. This format not only improves the overall quality of the competition but also creates a more effective competitive environment for teams of different levels.

A key feature of the new format is that the top two teams from the Second League will be promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season. Meanwhile, the bottom two teams in the Second League will play relegation play-offs to retain their place in the division.

The president of the local football federation, Zhenis Asanov, noted that the regional qualifying stage of the Kazakhstan Amateur League is raising the level of football to a new standard and helping to identify new talent. According to him, experienced teams in the Premier League will be fighting to maintain their positions, while Second League participants will do their best to move up. This level of competition is expected to give the tournament fresh momentum and positively influence the development of football infrastructure in the region.
