Kazakhstan Hold Belgium to a Draw
The match got off to a high-tempo start. In the 9th minute, Dastan Satpayev drilled a low shot into the near corner, leaving the Belgian goalkeeper with no chance.
Soon after, Galmzhan Kenzhebek burst down the flank and fired toward the far corner, but the visiting keeper managed to parry his effort.
Right after the start of the second half, Belgium equalized. In the 48th minute, Hans Vanaken finished off an attack inside the penalty area to make it 1–1.
Ten minutes before full time, Islam Chesnokov was sent off for a foul. Despite being a man down, Kazakhstan held on, and the score remained unchanged — 1–1.
