The national team of Kazakhstan lost to Georgia in the first match of the UEFA Nations League.

The national team of Kazakhstan lost to the team of Georgia within the starting match of the UEFA Nations League.

The match started with repeated attempts of our team to set the pace of the game. The players tried to attack the defense of the guests. In the 7th minute, Kazakhstan earned a dangerous free kick near the Loria penalty area, but the ball went wide. After, the home team created aggressive attack on the right side, where Zhukov provided a goal for Shchotkin, but he headed a shot over the crossbar.  Until the break the score remained at 0:0.

In the start of the second half Shchotkin had an excellent chance to lead his team forward, after pass of Murtazayev, but, unfortunately, shot wide. The scoring was opened by Chakvetadze with a long shot, and after Maliy scored an own goal 0:2. In the remaining time, the score did not change, and as a result the Georgia national team won.

September 10, the Kazakhstan national team will play away match against the team of Andorra.
