Kazakhstan Football Federation, Professional Football League of Kazakhstan and Freedom Holding Corp. have announced the creation of a new youth football league - QJ League.

Today Astana hosted a press conference dedicated to the creation of the new Kazakhstan football league for youth. The decision to transfer the rights to the QJ League to host youth competitions until 2025 was made at a meeting of the KFF Executive Committee.

QJ League will become a project of national importance in the country, where young talents from all regions of Kazakhstan will take part.

This project will be sponsored by Freedom Finance JSC under a memorandum with the Kazakhstan Football Federation aimed at developing youth and grassroots.

KFF President Adlet Barmenkulov noted that the main goal of the QJ League is to prepare a quality reserve for the Kazakhstan national team .

KFF President Adlet Barmenkulov:

“This is one of the main projects for the youth football development, which is part of our strategy. With the help of this project, we will create a competition system that will help in the preparation of talented children. This is the first step for our young men in professional football.”

The start of the first season of the league is scheduled for April 22 this year, in which 12 teams under 18 will take part. By 2025, it is planned to increase the number of competitions in different age categories.

Сhairman of the QJ League Board of Trustees Timur Turlov:

“QJ League is a big social project that KFF and PFLK are implementing in close cooperation with us. We have a common goal - the development of Kazakhstani football and our youth. We are talking not only about football players, but also about coaches, referees, managers and other specialists in demand in the sports industry. There is a big social demand for football in Kazakhstan, especially in the regions. In football, you can't get results here and now.”

President of the PFLK and QJ League Rochus Shoh

“There are many talents in Kazakhstan, but they do not always have the opportunity to fully realize themselves. The development of children's football must be treated systematically, otherwise it will be difficult to achieve a positive result. QJ League is a revolution in Kazakhstani football, now our youngsters will participate in the tournament, which will be organized at a 100% professional level.”

QJ League matches will be broadcast live on the republican sports TV channels Qazsport, QSport and Setanta Qazaqstan, as well as on the official YouTube channel of the tournament.

Detailed information about these competitions can be found on the official website QJ League, as well as on the social networks of the League.
