UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) was established in 1954. Currently, UEFA is the most influential of the six continental associations that make up the International Football Federation (FIFA). UEFA unites the football associations of 55 countries in Europe and a number of countries in the western regions of Asia.
Kazakhstan joined UEFA in 2002. Thanks to this, Kazakhstani football players can participate in various international tournaments, the UEFA Nations League, thus raising their professional level. However, UEFA is not just about championships and cups, it also has a large number of professional programmes and standards in the football sector, from the training of young players to the training of referees.
In addition, UEFA reinvests most of its profits in the development of football in its member countries. For the KFF, this is the main source of funding. UEFA's financial support makes it possible to invest in infrastructure development.
