Ust-Kamenogorsk hosts UEFA Playmakers workshop

From 13 to 15 May, the KFF Women's Football Department together with FC ''Altai-Өskemen'' organised a workshop for coaches of the football centre and PE teachers of kindergartens and schools of Ust-Kamenogorsk.

The event was intended to expand the project and the official launch of the programme in this city.

Over the course of three days, the training participants learnt in detail about the methodology of the project, which aims to develop girls' football skills through the use of their imagination. The first two days were devoted to theory and the final day to practice.

The girls of primary regional specialised IT-school-lyceum and preschool girls from kindergarten-school ''Sauletai'' of Ust-Kamenogorsk took part in the practical part. Young participants enthusiastically performed exercises, showing a keen interest in football. At the end of the session, the girls were presented with memorable gifts, and the teachers were given certificates of the course.

The UEFA Playmakers project is aimed at girls aged 5-8 who have never played football before. Its goal is to create a positive and exciting environment for the first introduction to the game, promote physical activity and introduce modern pedagogical approaches into the training process.
