Republican Football Tournament ''Baldauren'' among primary schools starts in Astana

More than 250 schoolchildren of 2-4 grades from the cities of Astana, Almaty, as well as Mangistau, Qyzylorda, Zhambyl, Zhetysu and West Kazakhstan regions take part in the competition.

The director of the KFF Grassroots Department Nikita Mozgovoy and the head of the National Scientific and Practical Centre for Physical Education Arman Tashmetov made a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony. They wished the young players good luck and presented each team with a set of footballs on behalf of the Federation.

The tournament is aimed at creating an exciting atmosphere for the youngest participants, who make their first steps in football. Its main goals are to develop grassroots among children, popularise sport from an early age and promote a healthy lifestyle.

The tournament ''Baldauren'' will last until 6 June.
