Workshop for KFF referees and inspectors completed in Astana

Astana hosted an interim workshop for referees, assistant referees and inspectors, organised by the Refereeing and Inspection Department of the Kazakhstan Football Federation.

The intensive educational programme included theory, fitness testing and practical analysis of game situations. Particular attention was paid to the Laws of the Game, the use of the VAR system, interpretation of episodes in the penalty area, interpretation of hand play, criteria for issuing warnings, as well as aspects related to fair play and compliance with Integrity principles.

The training was conducted by KFF instructors under the supervision of Nuno Alexandre Parreira de Castro, Head of the Refereeing and Inspection Department and UEFA expert. Leonid Kaloshin, Elesh Kusainov, Pavel Salii, Aleksandr Gorda, Artem Kuchin, Elvira Nurmustafina, Svetlana Kuchina and Ihtiyar Abdurakhmanov acted as speakers at the workshop.

A separate session was held for the inspectors on the correct execution of match reports.

"The workshop was organised at a good level. Such events are important for maintaining a professional approach and general training of referees and inspectors. We will continue to hold such seminars to regularly improve the quality of refereeing in Kazakhstan football", - said Nuno Alexandre Parreira de Castro.

The event was an important part of the KFF referees' training system and is aimed at improving the professional level and a common understanding of the criteria of refereeing in Kazakhstan football.
