Grassroots Football Week Concludes in Petropavlovsk

An event was held in the city of Petropavlovsk as part of UEFA Grassroots Week — an annual initiative within the European Week of Sport aimed at developing and promoting grassroots football.

In addition to Petropavlovsk, UEFA Grassroots Week events will also take place in Astana, Kokshetau, and Kostanay.

Amina Amanzhol, young footballer:
- I started playing football when I was six years old. Now I play for the youth team of Qyzyljar. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my coach, Irina Serikovna. In the future, I want to play at the professional level. Football is developing very well in the North Kazakhstan region, with many matches and other events being organized.

Around 100 children from Petropavlovsk took part in the project. The young participants learned the basics of football and performed various exercises just like professional players. It was a great opportunity for the kids to showcase their talent and increase their interest in sport.

At the end of the event, all participants received special certificates and memorable prizes from the Kazakhstan Football Federation.
