Yulia Mamonova: “Reaching League A is a collective achievement and the result of KFF’s long-term work”
“We are very happy. In the previous three mini-tournaments, we were just one step away from reaching League A. Now we are delighted that we have finally achieved it.
The girls have done a great job. This achievement is the result of systematic work that is currently being actively carried out in women’s football in Kazakhstan.
We now have strong representation across many age groups in our football centres. This gives us an advantage in player selection for the national team, as the number of girls involved in football continues to grow. We now have the opportunity to carry out a full and proper selection process when calling up players.
This is also the result of the players’ work at their clubs. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the coaches who work with these players. This is a shared success, a collective achievement.
We hope to take the next steps with even greater confidence and continue to grow stronger every year.
We would also like to thank the fans. We are very pleased with this result,” said Mamonova.
