27 April 2026, 15:55
On April 27, 2026, the Executive Committee of the Kazakhstan Football Federation approved the appointment of Scott Anthony Munn to the position of General Secretary, with a term of office running until July 12, 2030. Scott Munn will take up the post on July 13, 2026.

This appointment marks the first time in the history of Kazakhstan football that the federation will be led by a specialist with experience in the English Premier League and in managing a club that has won a European trophy. Munn is tasked with continuing the transformation course set by the KFF under its new leadership: reforming refereeing, developing academies and infrastructure, raising club governance and licensing standards, building a sustainable commercial and media base, and deepening cooperation with UEFA and FIFA.

Marat Omarov, KFF President:
“The federation is at a defining stage. We are building a foundation that will determine the future of football in our country. Achieving high results requires people with experience and discipline. Scott Munn brings invaluable hands-on expertise that will directly serve the development of Kazakhstan’s football. His profile meets all the requirements of this role, and I am confident he will deliver the results that our football deserves.”

Scott Munn, incoming Secretary General:
“I am delighted to be joining the Kazakhstan Football Federation at such a pivotal time. I was impressed by the vision outlined by President Omarov and the significant work already undertaken. I look forward to engaging with all of the game’s stakeholders, both at club and international level, to help drive football in the country forward.”
