New football field in Saran
The quality of the new pitch was highly appreciated by the KFF administration, the local football association and athletes. Also, the day before, the project's ambassador and former captain of the national football team Samat Smakov held an open training session for children and signed autographs. The last time the reconstruction work on the stadium, designed for 4 thousand spectators, was carried out 15 years ago.
“We submitted an application to the KFF to replace the football pitch in Saran. Our application was approved by all authorities and now we have Italian quality. About 300 children will play football here. Many thanks to the president of the KFF Adlet Barmenkulov and the city akimat, who also carried out repairs of the stadium. We may hold different regional and republican tournaments here now,” said the chairman of the Karaganda Regional Football Association Nikolai Bublinsky.
The KFF project ALAÑ for the renovation of football fields started in 2023. The implementation is carried out within the framework of the execution of the order of the Head of State on the development of mass sports. The project has been designed to last 3 years and is supported by UEFA. The main goal is to improve the quality of sports infrastructure and develop grassroots football in the country.
"I have been playing football since 2009 and my journey began in Saran. I thank the Kazakhstan Football Federation for building a wonderful field in such a small town. This has not happened for a long time, everything is of high quality now. I want the ALAÑ project to continue throughout Kazakhstan, so that children can train and play. This is a very big contribution to the development of youth football," said Anastasia Nizamutdinova, a player of the women's national football team.
The ALAÑ project is planned for 2023-2025. Previously, 12 fields were put into operation in Almaty, Shymkent, Aktobe, Petropavl, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Ayagoz, Aksu, Balkhash, Zhezkazgan, Qyzylorda, Atbasar and the Zhetysu region. In total, it is planned to renovate 20 football fields in Kazakhstan.
