Aleksandr Kuznetsov: “The players did their best”

- I congratulate all our fans on the victory! I thank the players for this match, they are great! They did everything we had worked on. But this is only the first game in the group round. Of course, the players gave a lot of energy and emotion today, I want to be happy for them. They acted very coherently and realized their chances. Unfortunately, at the end we made a mistake and brought an unnecessary penalty to our side. But most importantly, I liked the dynamics, structure, discipline and dedication. We need to continue in the same spirit, to prepare for the next game. Those players, who played today with little time, get an additional load, so that the tone was the same.
Tomorrow is a recovery day, then we will prepare for the Netherlands national team - the host of the tournament. This is a very serious opponent, we will analyze their game against Slovenia.
There are moments on which we need to work, and today we will be happy with the victory. Algaa, Kazakhstan!
