98 new football pitches to be built across Kazakhstan by 2027
Kazakhstan has become one of the first countries to join FIFA’s global initiative to build 1,000 mini football pitches in schools around the world. As part of the project, 100 mini-pitches are planned to be installed in schools across the country.
The first two mini football pitches have already been opened in the cities of Kokshetau and Khromtau, with a further 98 pitches scheduled for construction in all regions of Kazakhstan by the end of 2027.
Under the ALAÑ project, supported by UEFA, nine full-size and three mini football pitches were renovated in 2025. Over the past three years, 22 full-size and three mini-pitches have been refurbished using 5 billion tenge of non-budgetary funding. Since 2023, more than 9,000 players have been regularly training on these facilities.
