Josef Klement: “UEFA Highly Values Its Cooperation with the KFF”
“I am pleased to visit your country once again and would like to convey warm greetings from UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin and the entire administration of the Union of European Football Associations.
I am aware that the project to privatize Premier League clubs is being implemented successfully, which will enable Kazakhstani teams to reach a higher level. Other important initiatives are also underway, and we will hear more about them in the address by the federation’s president. Football infrastructure continues to develop steadily: pitches are being modernized, and projects to build major stadiums in cooperation with the government are being advanced.
We view this as a very positive signal, as infrastructure is a key factor in creating the right conditions for the development of young players, both boys and girls. It is also an essential foundation for hosting major international competitions. UEFA has entrusted your federation with the right to host the UEFA European Under-19 Futsal Championship in 2027 – for the first time in your history, you will welcome a national team tournament.
I am confident that, as infrastructure and governance processes continue to evolve, you will be able to host even larger football events in the future. UEFA is always ready to support you on this path, and we highly value our cooperation,” Josef Klement said.
