From 13 to 16 April, Shymkent is set to host a scouting seminar for coaches and talent identification specialists. The educational event will take place as part of the national U-14 youth tournament “Zhalyn”.

More than 25 specialists, including coaches and representatives of football organisations, are set to take part in the seminar. Among the invited experts are FIFA talent identification and scouting expert Steve Morrow and UEFA elite youth football specialist Roger Meichtry.

The programme will combine theoretical and practical sessions designed to develop skills in scouting, talent identification and player assessment. Participants will explore modern analytical approaches, key principles of player selection, and how these can be applied in match situations.

The practical element of the seminar will take place during matches of the “Zhalyn” tournament, giving participants the opportunity to apply their knowledge in live game scenarios and gain valuable hands-on experience.

Organised by the Kazakhstan Football Federation, the seminar aims to enhance the expertise of professionals working in youth football.
