Former Kazakhstan national team's player and current head coach of WFC "Kairat" Maria Yalova in an interview with the KFF press service told why the new Kazakhstan championship is unique and how important it is for the development of the entire industry, and also named the favorites of the season.

- We've been waiting for this for a long time and it's finally happened. This will give impetus to the development and attraction of young players. For the first time, 14 women's teams are participating in the championship - and this is not just a number, but a powerful step forward. Women's football is growing, developing and inspiring. More teams - more competition, exciting matches and opportunities for players, coaches and fans. This is a chance for new stars and for thousands of girls to believe that football is their game too.

- Who do you consider the favorites of the season and what team you think will make a sensation?

- The favorites are ''BIIK'' and ''Aktobe''. ''Kairat'' will try to impose a fight on these two clubs. Who will make a sensation? It's hard to say yet, I think it will be clear in 3-4 rounds. The new teams are very excited. The more teams, the higher the level of competition. This stimulates the development of tactics, technique and the overall quality of football. Therefore, teams can become a "sensation" in different senses of the word. Let's see.

- In April, the women's team won two victories in the Nations League. Do you think the team will be able to achieve the final goal and get into Division B?

- Congratulations to our team on their victories. Nothing is impossible.
