Marat Omarov: ''We have officially applied to host the UEFA Conference League Finals or the Super Cup''

The KFF President Marat Omarov, in his interview with Qazsport TV channel, has confirmed that Kazakhstan has offically applied to host the UEFA Conference League finals or UEFA Super Cup in 2027.

According to his words, the visit of Aleksander Čeferin and support from UEFA opens up new prospects for the development of football infrastructure and hosting major international tournaments.

"Aleksander Čeferin paid his first official visit to Kazakhstan and met with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. We had a very informative and deep discussion about the development of football. With UEFA we work every day - it is a kind of our regulator, which helps methodologically and implements modern projects such as the VAR system. UEFA provides us with funding every year.

We are ready to host the UEFA Congress in 2027. We have also officially applied to host the UEFA Conference League final or the Super Cup in Astana or Almaty. Kazakhstan has confirmed its readiness. The construction of stadiums is underway. We also plan to organise European U-21 and U-19 Championships," Marat Omarov said.
