Refereeing Committees of Central Asian Countries Strengthen Partnership

The main purpose of the negotiations was to discuss and approve the terms of ongoing cooperation, as well as the draft Memorandum, which will serve as the foundation for strengthening partnership relations in the field of football refereeing.
During the meeting, the parties paid special attention to the following areas:
• development of cooperation and exchange of experience at all levels of refereeing – football, futsal, beach soccer, women’s football, and youth football;
• functioning of academies and referee training centers;
• organization of joint training camps and educational programs for referees;
• holding international friendly matches, tournaments, and training camps, as well as involving referees in matches held under the Asian Football Confederation.
A separate item of discussion was the organization of visits and working meetings in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, which will expand the geography of interaction and strengthen international cooperation in the region.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the preparation for the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation. It is planned that the document will be signed by the General Secretaries of the three football organizations – the Kazakhstan Football Federation, the Kyrgyz Football Union, and the Uzbekistan Football Association.
The parties expressed confidence that these initiatives will become an important step towards the development of refereeing and will raise the overall standard of officiating throughout the region.
