Talgat Baisufinov – Acting Head Coach of the Kazakhstan National Team

Talgat Maruanovich will lead the team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Liechtenstein (10 October) and North Macedonia (13 October).

Talgat Maruanovich Baisufinov has already managed the Kazakhstan national team twice – in 2016–2017 and 2020–2022. At present, he is serving as a mentor for the coaching staff of the Kazakhstan U-21 national team.

The Kazakhstan Football Federation places its full confidence in the professionalism of Talgat Maruanovich and extends its best wishes for success in the upcoming matches.

Meanwhile, the KFF continues active negotiations with potential candidates for the national team’s head coach position, with talks already in the final stage. The shortlist includes three candidates, all of them foreign specialists.
