The 5th UEFA Conference for Technical Directors and Head Coaches of Women’s National Teams was held in Zurich, Switzerland.

The Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF) was represented at the forum by KFF Technical Director Gennady Skurtul and Head Coach of the Kazakhstan Women’s National Team Madiyar Kembilov.

On the first day of the conference, UEFA experts presented a review of the UEFA Women’s European Championship 2025, delivered a technical analysis of the tournament, and discussed the key development trends in women’s football across Europe. A separate coaches’ forum was also held, focusing on the preparation and continuous improvement of national teams.

The second day featured a workshop 3for technical directors. On behalf of the working group, KFF Technical Director Gennady Skurtul gave a presentation addressing the challenges and issues of player transition from youth to senior football. This stage of development was highlighted as one of the most crucial for building competitive national teams.

Gennady Skurtul noted:

“The transition from youth to senior football is a key stage in the entire development system. The success of our national teams tomorrow — and the overall quality of football in the country — depends on how effectively we manage this process.”

Participation of Kazakhstan’s representatives in international events of this level helps to adopt best practices, strengthen ties with leading football associations across Europe, and shape a strategic vision for the continued development of women’s and youth football in Kazakhstan.
