UEFA Grassroots Week: A Football Celebration for Children in Kostanay

UEFA Grassroots Week was held at the ''Tobyl Arena'' in Kostanay, bringing together children from the local youth sports school, the Tobyl Football Centre, as well as children keen to participate. In total, 90 participants took part in the activities.

As part of UEFA Grassroots Week, the Kazakhstan Football Federation focuses not on the number of participants, but on creating safe and comfortable conditions that enhance the playing experience and contribute to the overall development of football.

''The Kazakhstan Football Federation, in collaboration with the Kostanay Football Association, organised this major event, which gave children the opportunity to showcase their football skills — and for some, to experience playing with the ball for the very first time. I believe this initiative will give an additional boost to the development of youth football in the region,” said FC Tobol manager Marat Kuzembaev.

''I have been playing football since I was four years old. Today’s event was fun and unforgettable. In the future, I want to play at the World Cup — and win it,” shared one of the participants.

This initiative aims to promote a healthy lifestyle, encourage positive values among young people, and create new opportunities and directions for development.
