Football Pitch in Oral Renovated Under the ALAÑ Programme

A newly modernised pitch at Petar Atoyan Stadium in Oral has been officially unveiled with the support of the Kazakhstan Football Federation under the ALAÑ Programme.

The ceremony was attended by Mirbolat Nurzhanov, Acting Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the West Kazakhstan Region; Gaisa Kapakov, President of the Regional Football Federation; football veteran and first coach of FC Uralets Anatoliy Buryi; FC Zhaiyk sponsor Askhat Ishmukhametov; ALAÑ Programme ambassador Didar Sydykbek; as well as KFF representatives Nursultan Elamanov and Sergey Popov.

A key element of the renovation was the installation of a modern FIFA-certified artificial turf fully compliant with UEFA international standards. The new surface is intended for national and youth team matches and training sessions, as well as grassroots and youth activities, contributing to the development of regional football infrastructure and the promotion of the sport among young people.

Following the opening ceremony and symbolic ribbon-cutting, young players from Youth Sports School No.1 held an open training session, becoming the first to test the renewed pitch. Commemorative footballs were presented to participants of the event.

As part of the ALAÑ Programme, ten football facilities were modernised in 2025 across the cities of Kostanay, Petropavlovsk, Ekibastuz, Taraz, Aktobe, the Qyzylorda Region and Oral. Renovation of two additional pitches — in Atyrau and Zhanaozen — is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The ALAÑ Programme, implemented by the Kazakhstan Football Federation with the support of UEFA, aims to enhance sports infrastructure, create modern training conditions and engage more children in football across the country.
