Marco Ferri: “The KFF Can Always Rely on FIFA’s Full Support”

FIFA Regional Coordinator Marco Ferri highlighted the high level of cooperation between FIFA and the Kazakhstan Football Federation during the 29th Ordinary Conference of the KFF held in Astana.

“It is always a great honour and privilege for me — both personally and as a representative of FIFA — to be here in Astana at the KFF Conference. As you may recall, I addressed you back in May 2025, when I highlighted the close and productive relationship between FIFA and the Kazakhstan Football Federation. Since then, we have been able to work very closely together on a number of projects, and you will see the results very soon.

First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you, Mr President, as well as to the Kazakhstan Football Federation and the KFF administration, for your efforts and excellent cooperation. As you may remember, last October we inaugurated the first FIFA Arena pitch here in Kazakhstan. This is a major achievement, particularly as Kazakhstan was one of the first countries in the world to open such a facility as part of the major initiative launched by FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

We are very proud to be able to rely on Kazakhstan in the delivery of these important projects. Moreover, next March, Kazakhstan will host the FIFA Series 2026. We are very happy, proud and grateful that you will be hosting this competition.

We will be there to support you throughout the organisation process. Kazakhstan will join the group of host nations alongside Comoros, Kuwait and Namibia. In my view, this perfectly reflects the mission of FIFA’s initiatives — to build bridges between countries that do not always have the opportunity to interact with one another on a regular basis.

We are very proud that Kazakhstan is among the host nations of the FIFA Series, and we are very much looking forward to the tournament.

You can always count on FIFA’s full support for all the projects you undertake. We will be there with you. I would also like to convey the warmest greetings on behalf of FIFA President Gianni Infantino and FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström. They, too, highly value the progress achieved and are genuinely proud of the development of the Kazakhstan Football Federation,” Marco Ferri said.
