Talgat Baysufinov Appointed Head Coach of the Kazakhstan National Team

The Kazakhstan Football Federation has appointed Talgat Baysufinov as head coach of the Kazakhstan national football team.

Talgat Baisufinov took charge of the national team for the third time in October 2025. Under his leadership, the team played matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, recording a 4–0 victory over Liechtenstein and drawing 1–1 with both North Macedonia and Belgium.

Talgat Baysufinov had previously served as head coach of the Kazakhstan national team (2016–2017 and 2020–2022).

His coaching career includes work with several Kazakhstani football clubs. Over the years, he has held head coaching positions and been part of coaching staffs at Esil-Bogatyr (Petropavl), Aksu, Irtysh (Pavlodar), Akzhayik (Uralsk) and has also worked with Kazakhstan’s youth national team.

As a player, Talgat Baysufinov represented a number of Kazakhstani clubs, including Irtysh, Metallurg, Enbek, Ekibastuzets, Zhetysu and Vostok.
