Vasily Smolin — Senior Coach of Kazakhstan U-19 Futsal Team

At the age of 35, Vasily Smolin brings extensive experience in Kazakhstani futsal, with a significant part of his career closely linked to Ayat.

Under his guidance, the Rudny-based club qualified for the UEFA Futsal Champions League and secured silver and bronze medals in the Kazakhstan Championship.

Vasily Smolin has also spent many years working systematically with Ayat’s youth teams, achieving consistent success at national level. His teams won Kazakhstan titles in the U-15, U-17 and U-19 age categories. The U-19 side claimed the national title in 2017, the U-12 team finished first in 2018, U-13 and U-14 teams won silver medals in 2019 and 2020 respectively, while the U-15 side repeated that achievement in 2022.

In 2025, Vasily Smolin was also part of the coaching staff of the Kazakhstan national futsal team.

Kazakhstan will host the final tournament of the UEFA U-19 Futsal EURO in 2027, with the Kazakhstan U-19 team taking part as tournament hosts.
