David Loriya: “The UEFA Congress in Kazakhstan Is Clear Recognition on the International Stage”
“Hosting the UEFA Congress in Kazakhstan is a major event and a clear sign of international recognition for the Kazakhstan Football Federation.
The upcoming Congress is especially significant in light of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s agenda, which places a strong emphasis on peace, stability and diplomacy.
Last year, at the invitation of the Head of State, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin paid a working visit to Kazakhstan. During his visit, it was announced that more than one million people are involved in football across the country — a figure that continues to grow.
We understand how seriously issues of transparency, stability and effective governance are regarded in Europe. Therefore, the decision to hold such a prestigious forum in Kazakhstan is not merely a formality, but a reflection of trust and recognition of the high organisational standards in place.
The 51st UEFA Congress will feature the election of the UEFA President for the next term, underlining the historic importance of the event.
“In addition, Kazakhstan will host the UEFA Under-19 Futsal EURO in 2027. This is another major international event that awaits us in the coming years,” David Loriya emphasised.
