Askar Kozhabergenov: “The Creation of the KFF Technical Development Committee Is a Very Important Step”

Askar Kozhabergenov, a veteran of Kazakhstani football and a member of the Kazakhstan Football Federation’s Technical Development Committee, spoke to the KFF press service about the outcomes of the recent meeting and the key issues discussed during the session.

“I believe that the creation of the Technical Committee is a very important step. Its members include specialists who have made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstani football. At today’s meeting we discussed the player limit rule in the First and Second Leagues. We also considered the possibility of giving more playing time to young footballers. All of this needs to be aligned with the needs of the national teams.It is extremely important for players born in 2006, 2007 and 2008 to get regular playing time, which is why maintaining the limit is important.

In addition, we discussed the overall philosophy of the Kazakhstan Football Federation. We reviewed all areas step by step and familiarised ourselves with them. Head of the National Teams Department Ruslan Baltiev presented the coaching staffs of all teams and spoke about the upcoming plans. We also addressed issues related to training camps and UEFA tournaments. I consider the meeting very productive. At the next stage, we plan to focus on analytics,” Kozhabergenov emphasised.
